Lecturer

Will Newey received his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Cal Poly in 2020 via the blended program. His master’s thesis focused on computational methods for providing aerodynamic analysis. During his time at Cal Poly, Will also played tuba in the mustang marching band, wind ensemble, and other performing groups.
After graduating, Will started a consulting business that provides Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) analysis for various clients including commercial airlines, government contracts, and prototype projects. Most recently, Will has provided analysis to the The Spaceship Company and Virgin Galactic for the newest iteration of Spaceship 2 and White Knight 2.
While running his consulting business, Will started teaching part time at Cal Poly in Fall 2021. He continues to facilitate learning at Cal Poly while balancing other research interests today.
