RICHARD MILFORD

Dr. Richard Milford is a part-time Lecturer in the department of Aerospace Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he teaches Spacecraft Design. Richard also advises early-stage aerospace and robotics startups, leveraging three decades of leading advanced technology and product development in the Aerospace & Defense industry at both large and small companies including Virgin Orbit, Boeing, and Hughes Space & Communications. Richard has lectured courses, published papers and patents in control systems, software, and product line strategy, and holds a Ph.D. in Robotics and Controls from the University of Queensland Australia, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson.
